- Capitalizing on Success: The Future of the Most Profitable Niche Businesses
Introduction
Today, I have found 15 of the most profitable niche businesses you can quickly start. The best thing is that most of these don’t require much money to start up, and they’re relatively easy to get started on. They don’t require you to have a lot of skills.
1- Senior Proofing
So, the first niche business on the list will be senior-proofing because aging is inevitable, but making your living space senior-friendly doesn’t have to be a headache. This involves modifying homes to make them safer for seniors living in them. So, this could be something like adding guard rails to a staircase or, in some cases, even having an elevator that takes the seniors up the stairs.
It could also include something as simple as having something they can hold on to when they’re taking a shower or making sure that there are not many things they might trip on. By the way, the U.S. centenarian population is a bit mouthful and is projected to quadruple over 30 years. That means there will be over four times as many people that reach the age of 100 years old over the next 30 years.
This business will grow a lot during that time, and senior proofing projects typically cost between $500 and $5,000 per project. Many projects are available, so this is a good one. I’m going to go ahead and give it an 8.5 out of 10 opportunity score.
Now, if you appreciate me and my team spending hundreds of hours collecting and writing these articles, go below and let us know by writing a comment.
2- Baby Proofing
The following niche business on the list is going to be babyproofing. So this is the opposite of senior proofing, but it’s also perfect money. This involves creating a safe environment for infants and toddlers. Now, this is a 6.2 billion dollar market. This involves things like making sure that kids can’t get access to the medicine cabinet or different cabinets. That might have a drain cleaner or something along those lines.
Also, make sure that babies don’t have access to over two inches of water because, unfortunately, they can drown in as little as two inches, as well as many many other things. One multi-million dollar year-proofing company, babyprooferplus.com, has babyproofed 18,000 homes. Now imagine all the different homes that they haven’t done. I mean, there are millions and millions of homes in the United States. They’re one of the biggest companies, making only 18,000. So, there is a ton of opportunity here.
Typically, you can make between $50 to $100 an hour doing these projects and the cost to babyproof. A two-bedroom home will usually cost $252 to $780 initially, and there are many different types of babyproofing, such as adding cabinets. Locks electrical hazard babyproofing as well as bathroom babyproofing. This one doesn’t require a college degree or previous experience. This one is pretty good. I’ll give it an 8 out of 10 opportunity score.
3- Stump Removal
The following niche business will be stump removal, removing stumps from trees. You will be catering to homeowners, landscapers, and property developers. This is technically a type of landscaping business, although it’s highly specialized, and people typically pay anywhere from $300 to $1,000 to remove a stump.
So, this is another niche business idea with which you can make perfect money. You can do it as a side hustle or a full-time business. I’m going to go ahead and give this one a 7 out of 10 opportunity score.
4- Home Energy Editor
The following niche business will be a home energy auditor, and basically, they will be assessing residential energy usage, areas of improvement, and efficiency. This business operates in the energy conservation industry, and you can offer your services independently, collaborate with local utilities, or even partner with a construction company. Not only is this good for the environment, but you save a lot of money for the homeowner or the business owner who gets the audit conducted.
The average home energy audit cost is about $425. Then, you’ll probably be installing certain things or at least referring them to install certain things from other companies. When you do that, you’ll likely make a lot of money. So this is a good one. I’ll give it a 7.5 out of 10 opportunity score.
5- Choosing A Profitable Niche on YouTube
The following niche business will choose a profitable niche on YouTube. Many people are trying to start YouTube channels, but most choose an unprofitable niche. For instance, you might try to start a gaming channel, a vlog channel, or a travel channel. Unfortunately, everybody else wants to start those types of channels, too. It’s a winner-take-all market where only the people at the top are making money.
Whereas there are lots of these little micro-niches on YouTube, where you see channels with less than 5,000 subscribers that can make over six figures, not six figures a year. That’s six figures a month, and it all depends on the niche you choose. So, you want to make sure you choose a profitable YouTube niche. YouTube can be incredibly profitable if you choose the right niche and channels make over 3 million dollars a month.
There are many different highly profitable niches, and the big thing you want to ensure you’re doing is solving real problems for real people who have real money. You will be in a profitable niche if you nail those three things. Another thing I recommend is starting education channels, not entertainment channels because it’s so much easier to make money with an education channel. So, YouTube is phenomenal.
I always like to mention in all of these articles because I see a lot of these, you know, side hustle blogs and side hustle-type videos where they don’t mention YouTube as a side hustle. Then, all of them are making a ton of money from their YouTube niche business or their YouTube side hustle. So, it seems disingenuous to talk about other side hustles and not talk about the one I’m doing. So, YouTube is incredible. I’ll give it a 10 out of 10 score.
6- Bed Bug Removal Specialist Business
The following niche business will be a bed bug removal specialist business. Now, I used to work at a hotel. One of my bosses, who’s basically like my original mentor, I worked in several different of his businesses. Still, one of them was a hotel, and I can tell you that hotels always have issues with bed bugs. It’s not just hotels; it’s Airbnb and even houses. So this is a very profitable business because, let’s be honest, if someone goes to an Airbnb, or if someone goes to a hotel and gets bed bugs, they’re going to leave an awful review, which will be very bad for business.
The pest control market is already 22 billion dollars and is expected to grow to 29 billion by 2026. So, it is a rapidly growing and incredibly profitable market, and 20% of Americans have had bed bug infestations in their own house. You can charge between $300 and $5,000 for bed bug extermination services. After that, you can offer regular inspections to ensure they never return. So, it’s an incredible business model.
As a side note, you can also make much money as a pest control salesperson. I know everybody talks about remote sales or high ticket sales, but honestly, there are a lot of other opportunities outside of, you know, remote sales or high ticket sales, and the pest control salesman is phenomenal. You can make six figures quickly. So, it’s a good one. I’ll give this one a 9.5 out of 10 opportunity score.
7- Home Nurses Or Home Care
The following niche business will be home nurses or home care. This is where you provide personalized healthcare services to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. It’s almost like bringing a hospital to your doorstep. There’s one homemade for every 154 households in the United States. That number is rapidly rising. Here’s a company, for instance, a Home Nursing Agency, whose revenue is 67 million dollars a year, so you can make a ton of money doing this.
So, this one is perfect. There’s a lot of opportunity in health care. There are lots of different random healthcare careers and a lot of other random businesses out there. So, I’ll give this one an 8.5 out of 10 opportunity score.
8- Concrete Removal
The following niche business is going to be a super random one, which is concrete removal. Have you ever seen a super ugly concrete slab with many cracks? It’s super dirty, and you thought, Man, I wish I could remove that. Well, there are businesses out there that do this. So they demolish and clear out old or damaged concrete structures from driveways, patios, and more, and the average job for concrete removal ranges from $200 to $6,000.
The average is about two thousand dollars. So you could make a ton of money doing this. So, this one is pretty good. I’ll give it an 8 out of 10 opportunity score.
By the way, comment below. If you like any of these niche business ideas, or maybe there’s one you wanted me to mention, go ahead and let me know by commenting below. Then I’ll say it in another article.
9- Mobile Call Car Mechanic
The following niche business is going to be a mobile call car mechanic. So mobile car mechanics are very rare, but they are something that many people want, and I mean, think about it. Have you ever gotten your car repaired, where you have to drive to some place and drop it off, or maybe you might even have to tow it to this place? Then you have to wait in their office for a long time. Then you might even leave, take a taxi back to your house, and return the next day. It’s super inconvenient.
But what if you could have a mechanic come to your house and repair your car in your driveway? Well, that’s exactly what these professionals do. Now, the job type will range from a ridiculous amount. Anything from an oil change costs, maybe $35, all the way up to a clutch replacement that costs $1,400, and typically, mobile mechanics will charge a lot more than that because of the convenience.
Usually, the people who order this type of thing have a lot of money. Still, they don’t have much time, so they pay the extra and the premium for convenience. So yeah, this is another perfect one. I’ll give it an 8 out of 10 opportunity score as well.
10- Elevator Repair Service
The following niche business will be an elevator repair service, and this is precisely what it sounds like: you will be repairing elevators. Now, of course, elevators are a particular type of technology, and it’s essential that they’re safe and repaired correctly because people’s lives would be lost if they weren’t. There are about a million total elevators in the United States of America. So, many elevators might need to be repaired, and the national average for repairing an elevator usually ranges from $500 to $1,000.
Typically, there will also be maintenance costs, and you’ll probably come back every week or month to ensure the elevator is good. So yeah, this one is pretty good. I’ll give it a 7.5 out of 10 opportunity score. The reason it’s a bit lower is because you have to have a lot of specialized knowledge and certifications to do this.
11- Carpet Cleaning or Rug Cleaning
The following niche business on the list that doesn’t require a lot of specialized knowledge will be carpet cleaning or rug cleaning, and I learned this the hard way when I moved out of a house once. I moved out of the house and had a cleaning company help me clean it. They told me they don’t do carpet or rug cleaning, but the problem was I had accidentally spilled a bunch of Chinese food on the floor, which stayed on the rug.
So that was a big problem for me, and I had to find somebody who specialized in carpet cleaning. Eventually, I saw somebody, but they charged a ton of money, much more than I thought they would have. So many different cleaning services don’t offer this, and that’s a massive opportunity for you. So you could start a service that does carpet or rug cleaning, and you could probably make a full-time income from it and charge a lot more than a traditional cleaning service.
So yeah, you can make a lot of money cleaning carpets and rugs. A lot of the time, you can make over $1,500 in a single day. Cleaning a carpet or rug can make even more money if you specialize in something like oriental rugs. So, this one is perfect. You can make a ton of money doing this. I will give it a 9 out of 10 opportunity score.
12- Mattress Cleaning
The following niche business will be mattress cleaning, and I’ll also add to that couch cleaning. So again, this is one that typically cleaning services don’t offer. It requires some specialized equipment and is a little bit harder than the standard types of cleaning that you would do in a house, such as sweeping and vacuuming.
You can make a ton of money doing this mattress as well as couch cleaning can make a ton of money, and you can actually, in some cases, buy couches that are a little bit old, a little bit dirty, clean them, and then flip them and sell them. So yeah, this is a good one. I’ll give it an 8.5 out of 10 opportunity score.
13- Generator Installation
The following niche business is going to be generator installation. So if your power goes out, you can only access electricity with a generator. Many people are becoming increasingly aware of this. Now, generators and power grids aren’t the easiest thing to set up, and it’s better to be prepared before it happens Rather than after, or else, it’ll probably take you hours and hours to set it up, and you won’t have power during that time.
But the power’s probably back on when you finally set it up. So, to be prepared ahead of time, you want to have your generator installed. Typically, people will pay between $1,500 and $5,000 to install their generators properly. So there is a ton of money in this market. So, I’ll give it a 7.5 out of 10 opportunity score.
14- Camping Equipment Rental Business
The following niche business will be a camping equipment rental business. So, for instance, tent rentals. Now, this isn’t necessarily just camping. You can also rent out tents that might be required for events. So, for instance, if somebody is having a family gathering, a graduation party, or something like that, they probably want a large tent that’s put on stilts above them so they don’t get baked in the sun. It’s well-known that you can make thousands of dollars monthly renting out your tents.
Another thing you can do is set up tents on a property, and then you can rent them out on places like Airbnb. Many people like to do semi-camping, which is where they’re, you know, on a property, but they’re relatively close to the city, so they’re safe. Still, they’re pretending to be camping out in the wilderness, so this form of renting tents is getting increasingly popular. So, this one is pretty good. I’ll give it a 7 out of 10 opportunity score.
15- Virtual Assistant Services
The following niche business will be virtual assistant services, but you want to make sure you specialize in something. For instance, you could specialize in virtual assistant services for SaaS companies. SaaS stands for software as a service, and these virtual assistants must have a particular skill set. So, a lot of the time, you would train them in the types of skills that they would need to know for SaaS companies specifically.
Then these SaaS companies would pay you to either place the person in their company, a lot of the time that’s going to be five to ten thousand dollars, or in some cases, they may be monthly, as the person does the job. Then you pay the person, or if you don’t want to start a virtual assistant staffing company, you could just become a virtual assistant on your own. Learn many of these high-in-demand skills and then help the company directly yourself.
So, yeah, there’s a lot of opportunities here. Of course, you want to ensure that you have a niche down and a specialized skill set because you’ll be a lot more valuable and provide a lot more value if you do that. But overall, I will give this one an eight out of 10 opportunity score.
